It seems rather odd to think of Bulgaria as an ‘undiscovered’ or ‘emerging’ wine country. After all, it has a millennia-long history of winemaking to (nearly) rival the Caucasus, and the southern region of Thrace may have been the birthplace of Dionysus – sure evidence of viticultural provenance!
