Ch Lafleur – the Guinaudeau era

Notes taken at a superb tasting of Ch Lafleur from magnums which had travelled no further than the short distance  between the cellar of owners Sylvie and Jacques Guinaudeau to Christie’s in London, where such bottles and magnums will be auctioned this Thursday on 15  Nov.

Very thin watery rim to this dark purplish crimson wine. Extremely winning, attractive nose and rich, well balanced palate clearly showing the class of this vintage. Plush and velvety and just the merest hint of austerity on the finish. Long. Should give enormous pleasure...
