Decanter founder dies
I have just learnt that Colin Parnell, my first boss when I started out as a wine writer at the end of 1975 on the wine trade magazine Wine & Spirit, died this week. How sad, not least for his young daughter and wife Patricia Parnell, who has so capably masterminded the public relations of some of the most luxurious wine brands such as Krug in the UK.
