Among the Italian wines we have tasted this spring, Walter was particularly struck by the ambition of the white wines now reaching these shores – including those of Antonio (pictured, with old pergola-trained Trebbiano vines) and Cristiana Tiberio. There are many red gems also, reviewed by Jancis and Julia below.
