According to David Martínez, sommelier and professor at the Sitges Hostelry School, ‘Malvasía de Sitges is the Riesling of the Mediterranean’. David is an expert on this wine, and oversaw the selection of wines tasted in this article. In addition, he prepared everything for my tasting in the newly opened Malvasía Interpretation Center (CIM), a fascinating complex in the tourist town of Sitges just 30 minutes by car south of Barcelona.
