Book before the end of the year if you want to get a discount on the 2010 Masters of Wine Symposium.

Back in August in Something for the weekend Jancis previewed the next MW Symposium, to be held in Bordeaux, 24-27 Jun 2010.

This is a reminder that the early-bird discounted rate expires at the end of Dec. If you book before then, the rate is €745 + VAT, saving €150 on the full price. (Tickets for MWs are currently €545 + VAT but will go up to € 695 from 1 Jan 2010.)

Some highlights of the programme include:

Who serves the wine consumer best: families or corporations? (Speakers including Alessia Antinori, Eduardo Chadwick, Margareth Henriques, and Christian Seely)

Passing the torch from one generation to another (Speakers including Jean-Claude and Olivier Berrouet; Jean-Bernard and Jean-Philippe Delmas; and Miguel Torres and Miguel Torres Jr)

Modern legends: fame, fortune and lessons to be learnt (Speakers including Paul Draper, Peter Gago and Alvaro Palacios)

Jancis will be there and taking part in a debate about the role of MWs in the wine industry. For (slightly) more information and an email link to find out more or book, go to Bordeaux 2010 - Forging links. Page 2 of this flier gives further details of speakers and subjects.
