Sign anti Mosel bridge petition!

Sarah Washington, chief campaigner against the proposed Mosel bridge sketched here, sends this message about the current situation:

There is now a building freeze in place for the duration of the coalition talks in Rheinland-Pfalz. The coalition contract should be signed by the SPD on 7 May and by the Greens on 8 May. The Greens are adamant that the HMÜ (Mosel bridge) will be a central issue in the talks, and that the traffic forecast must be re-examined  and the current cost estimates re-examined too to establish the usefulness or otherwise of the project.

Pro-Mosel has a brand new petition appealing directly to the state of Rheinland-Pfalz and this will run during the period of coalition talks:

You can easily sign this petition online It is much more straightforward than the Bundestag one from last year, though do look at the translation and instructions on the left of the form.

Fingers crossed everyone! And please, if you can, help the process along by circulating the new petition to show the decision makers how the rest of the world feels about the issue.
