Paul Symington sends the following news from the Douro Valley in Portugal:
We are probably mad to do this in these difficult times, but we are pleased to announce that we have acquired Quinta de Roriz, definitely one of the five or six greatest vineyards of the Douro.
We plan to continue the tradition of bottling top quality single estate DOC wines under the Quinta de Roriz and Prazo de Roriz labels as well as vintage port in appropriate years. But Quinta de Roriz will also become the home of Chryseia, our joint venture with the Prats family of Bordeaux....
