Paul O'Doherty takes on the task of reviewing the year's wine books for the third year running. He has the great advantage as a book reviewer of living in Ireland and therefore, unlike us, knows none of the relevant authors personally. He writes on food and wine, and sets crosswords, for a number of publications. Here he puts the wine book reviews that follow this week in context.
