What follows is evidence to support my theory about Postmodern Australia. I have picked 10 Shirazes and 10 Chardonnays that I think sum up the direction Australian wine is heading. They all exhibit the buzzwords of elegance and restraint, but still have Australian flavour – a certain ripeness of fruit, and a rounded, polished, drinkable style.
