American wine websites specialising in value are a bit thin on the ground. As are those from anywhere that are light hearted without being irritating. www.drvino.net manages to combine both these useful attributes and I commend it to you.
It's the result of Tyler Colman's academic thesis on the politics of wine. He got so intrigued by the subject that his wife suggested he create a website on the basis of all that he learnt. (I am ashamed to admit that when I read the URL it took me rather a long time to work out what the 'dr' stood for. He styles himself, of course, Dr Vino.)
