All the fun without the Fair

I’m giving the London International Wine Trade Fair, at Excel until Thursday night, a miss this year. It’s a long trek east with rarely more than a few scrawls in a notebook to show for it. (I make no apologies for the appropriately blurred logo.) But it must have been funny there yesterday morning with the two rival wine competitions, the International Wine Challenge and Decanter World Wine Awards, announcing their results almost simultaneously.
