Most of the changes made to the directory of wine merchants on this site are additions of the bevy of new, enterprising small independent merchants who are mushrooming in the UK as a reaction to the increasing stranglehold of the supermarkets on the wine market and the decline of high street wine shops.
At the end of the year however I will have the sad job of removing La Réserve, Mark Reynier's group of wine shops in Knightsbridge, Hampstead and Fulham, from the list. Reynier went his own way, had some truly excellent wines, especially burgundies and mature bottles...
