During my trip to Barolo to taste the forthcoming and highly anticipated 2013 vintage last week, rumours of an imminent sale of the Roberto Voerzio estate of La Morra, famous for producing some of the most concentrated and expensive Barolo, were circulating again, having been denied in October. This time three separate, independent sources spoke of the sale as a done deed, and even mentioned the buyer as being French.
