Cornas is an interesting appellation in 2024: though the region was particularly badly hit by the September rains, I really enjoyed the wines – they had Cornas structure and with some generosity of fruit, but they were never opulent or overdone. At the same time, I imagine picking date was a key factor here; not all the wines were equally successful.
