The ex in Vinexpo

For many of us wine professionals, this will be a gloriously quiet week as thousands of our colleagues head off to Bordeaux for this week's Vinexpo, the biennial international wine exhibition by the Lac on the edge of Bordeaux that was officially opened yesterday with a daytime ceremony and the usual lavish dinner – this year at Lafite because Latour's proposed event was deemed not lavish enough.
