Thanksgiving Day nicely coincides with my desire to thank all those who filled in that long recent questionnaire about this website very much indeed.
We were overwhelmed by the amount of input from members and by all your kind and constructive comments. It will take some time, I'm afraid, to sort out just who deserves the five Vintners' Tales DVDs for the most useful responses but the names of the recipients will be announced here and of course they will be contacted directly.
In the end well over 100 non-members were also kind enough to send us their thoughts – which are of course extremely valuable as they come from the non-committed, so to speak. We will be choosing which five of those are the most useful and each of their authors will also be receiving a preview copy of this new DVD, a compilation of the best of our two BBC series Vintners' Tales on notable wine people.
Please rest assured that the question in the questionnaire about how you would feel about commercial alliances or something does not signal any change in this site's cherished completely independent stance. I have zero desire to have ads or sponsorship and was delighted to note that you all feel the same way too.
