Miracles rarely happen, but Brunello di Montalcino, a denomination not exactly at the forefront of innovation, has finally produced a vineyard map. It is a colossal step forward on the road to explaining its manifold terroirs and for producers to finally show where their vineyards are located – and it’s just in time for the 2021 vintage, which will begin to be released to the market in January.
