Coonawarra Winemakers at Vinopolis and Northcote Manor

Friday 26 August 2005 • 1 min read

Eight of Coonawarra’s top winemakers are touring Britain.

On Wednesday 14 sep 05 they will be getting their feet under the well-stocked tables at Michelin-starred Northcote Manor near Preston in Lancashire.

LANCASHIRE TICKETS: £80 for dinner and all wines from 01254 240555 www.northcotemanor.com

On Monday 19 sep 05 they will be leading a special tasting followed by an informal dinner at Vinopolis, London SE1. The dinner is billed as ‘specially created by the Master Chef at Cantina Vinopolis using local produce from Borough Market’.

The plan is to limit numbers so that all guests will have the opportunity to meet the winemakers personally. They include Doug Balnaves of Balnaves of Coonawarra; Dennis Vice of Highbank; Ian Hollick of Hollick Wines; Brian Lynn of Majella; Kym Tolley of Penley Estate; Andrew Hardy of Petaluma; John Innes of Rymill Coonawarra; and Greg Tilbrook of Wynns Coonawarra Estate.

LONDON TICKETS: £15 for tasting only (5pm), £55 for dinner only (7.30 for 8pm), £75 for both plus a 3-5pm tour of Vinopolis. To book call the Vinopolis box office on 0870 241 4040 or enquire online www.vinopolis.co.uk  Vinopolis, No 1 Bank End, London, SE1 9BU

So what are they doing over the weekend, we wonder?
