New wine ezine and a superblogger's cartoon for sale

• 1 min read

A new wine ezine has just been launched, including an interview with me. If you’re interested, download it from here.

I also strongly suggest that anyone interested in cartoons and/or wine takes a look at this first cross-blog auction in aid of Wine Relief (the only thing that the e-zine and the auction have in common).

Uberbloggers Stormhoek have arranged an online auction of both a special cartoon by Hugh MacLeod of gapingvoid.com and a case of very nice wine generously donated by my fellow wine writer Tim Atkin MW who has plucked these bottles from his own cellar:

White
1988 Vouvray Demi-Sec, Le Mont, Huet
1998 Chablis Premier Cru Butteaux, Raveneau
2001 Petaluma Chardonnay, Picadilly Valley
2002 Gruner Veltliner Smaragd, Ried Achleiten, Weingut Jager
Red
2003 Bourgogne, Ghislaine Barthod
1999 Vergelegen, Stellenbosch
2003 Mas de Daumas Gassac, Haute Vallee du Gassac
2002 Chateau Petit Village, Pomerol
1994 Chateau La Mission Haut-Brion, Pessac Leognan
2004 Seghesio Barbera, Sonoma County
Sweet/Fortified
2002 Chateau Climes Premier Cru, Barsac
1998 Quinta do Noval Silval Port

The highest bid received here by 5pm on Red Nose Day, Friday March 16 secures the cartoon and the wine for the successful bidder. All money raised goes to Comic Relief.
