Last Friday there were radio broadcasts about our book Wine Grapes – a complete guide to 1,368 vine varieties including their origins and flavours on both sides of the Atlantic.

In the UK on BBC Radio 3's Essential Classics morning programme I had the pleasure of discussing wine and music with the presenter Rob Cowan every morning last week between 10.30 and 11 am. On Friday we talked about books in general and Wine Grapes in particular. You can listen to the entire programme here. To listen specifically to the bit with me in it, scroll forward along the bar to 1.30.

Also on Friday, by complete coincidence (or radio producers' conviction that wine is a seasonal interest), Leonard Lopate's interview with me taped in New York in November was broadcast on WNYC and, I believe, NPR (National Public Radio) at 12.40 pm EST, or 5.40 pm in the UK. You can listen to this very detailed interview with the widely admired Leonard Lopate here
