In praise of 2021

I tasted most of these wines at home and have to confess that the 2021 Willamette Valley wines in particular were so good that I was reluctant to hand the leftovers to friends and neighbours as I usually do. 

I cannot overstate the promise as well as the current drinkability of the 2021 vintage in Willamette. As I noted here, the acids are fresh and lively, alcohols moderate, tannins in Pinot Noirs are supple and ripe, and the wines have a levity...
