The other drink in Munich
Last night Hugh Johnson and I launched Hallwag's German edition of the latest, 6th edition of the World Atlas of Wine in Munich’s Literaturhaus, a sort of literary restaurant in one of Munich’s many grand buildings. You could say that our event was being held in opposition to Munich’s current main event (pictured).
Over 150 people attended a dinner and tasting of Pinot Noirs from around the world to illustrate the magnificent effect of geography on a single grape variety. The extremely well behaved crowd was a mixture of media and interested wine lovers. On landing at Munich airport yesterday...
