Visiting Château Rayas

I recently made my second-ever visit to Château Rayas, the first having been in the 1980s during the era of the famously eccentric Jacques Reynaud who met his end while buying shoes in nearby Courthezon in 1997. His nephew Emmanuel Reynaud of Château des Tours in Vacqueyras took over and to judge from a delicious Ch de Fonsalette 1999 Côtes du Rhône Rouge enjoyed the weekend before my visit, and the stunning Fonsalette white 2001 currently on the wine list at Cafe Anglais in London, his hands...
