Professional wine storage is all very well but most of us wine lovers dream of having our very own cellar on our premises. N K Yong in Singapore famously has a second apartment specially to house his wine collection. The Wine Spectator has regularly featured the most glamorous professionally-designed American wine cellars destined not just for storage but for entertaining. The British will, as usual, have more modest aspirations and will typically dream of having a serviceable wine storage area constructed underground.
