Dreary Sainsbury's

I felt pretty depressed after tasting nearly 80 of the wines of which, presumably, the UK supermarket Sainsbury's is proudest, since they were chosen to be presented to massed wine writers recently. There were a number of perfectly acceptable cheap wines (as well as some horrors) but there were remarkably few excitements.
