Winemaker and activist the late Giorgio Lungarotti founded this family company in Umbria, central Italy, in the 1960s. Today it has a total production of around 3 million bottles and is run by his daughters Chiara Lungarotti (CEO) and Teresa Severino (a winemaker by training but currently marketing and communications manager); Giorgio's widow Maria Grazia is in charge of the Lungarotti Foundation, including the wine and olive museums.
