Over 300 wines scored above 17 on Purple Pages this May. Vintage port featured frequently, thanks to the very strong performances from the 2011 releases across many producers. Champagne was well represented by an article about the best grower-producers. As usual, German Riesling was prominent too, with some promising notes on 2012s from the Mosel and the Pfalz.
