Yesterday, the shortlist was announced for the 2013 Louis Roederer International Wine Writers' Awards.
This collection of illustrious names includes two of particular note to us here at JancisRobinson.com. Firstly, our columnist Alex Hunt MW has been shortlisted for the international online wine columnist of the year award, for his articles within Alex on taste. There were apparently around 200 submissions for this category so this is truly an achievement.
Secondly, Wine Grapes has been shortlisted in the international wine book of the year category – the latest accolade to add to the six major awards it has already won.
Other award categories include the artistry of wine, emerging wine writer and international wine website of the year (which JancisRobinson.com did not enter this year, having won in 2010, its inaugural year).
The results will be announced in London on 10 September. Good luck to all, but to Alex and the three Js (Jancis, Julia and José) especially!
