Not for the first time, the new, improved Moët & Chandon Brut Impérial cuvée of non-vintage champagne did rather well in a blind tasting. I spent last Friday with a group of sommeliers from all over Asia in Hong Kong. We discussed the current state of the wine market in Asia, about which I will be writing in more detail.
But at the end of the day we tasted seven non-vintage champagnes blind. And the group was asked to call out their two favourite wines before the wines' identities were revealed. They were, in this order, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs...
