Angélus and Prats invest in South Africa

Owner of Ch Angelus of St Emilion Hubert de Boüard de Laforest tells me he has invested in South Africa with Bruno Prats (ex Cos d'Estournel but now with fingers in pies in the Douro as in Chryseia and Chile as in Viña Aquitania) and the Jooste family of one of South Africa's grandaddy wineries Klein Constantia.

The joint venture is on land bought by the Jooste's some time ago in the Helderberg near Meerlust and Rust en Vrede in  Stellenbosch's prime red wine country. For more detail on the news story see grape.org.za and for SA wine writer Michael Fridjhon's telling local...
