Ribeira Sacra is one of those unbelievable vine-growing places. When I was visiting the vineyards there in early August 2013, I was incredulous. I was moved by such an amazing vine landscape, by heroic viticulture that can justly be compared with other miraculous wine regions such as the Mosel Valley or the Douro Valley, even if the rivers Sil and Miño, the two rivers that shape this valley, may sound less glamorous to many wine consumers.
