When one of our subscribers wrote in and asked, last year, if we could write something about the crus communaux of Muscadet, it set wheels in motion and resulted in a three-day trip to Muscadet that completely re-set my understanding and appreciation of the region’s wines. While I was enormously impressed with the quality and deliciousness of the appellation wines, the crus were nothing short of a revelation....
