Nick on Australia's ABC

Proud wife department here. Nick was in Australia all last week taking part in the Crave festival in Sydney, promoting his new book.

He knew that very few hours after landing there early one morning he was expected to be interviewed by ABC radio, the Australian equivalent of the BBC. What he didn't know until he landed, groggily, was that the interview was live, and that it was for Australia's answer to Desert Island Discs. So he had to suddenly come up with five favourite pieces of music (at least two of them classical), and sound articulate for an hour, even though he must have felt thoroughly disc-ombobulated rather than disc-literate.

You can hear the very impressive results here.
