Today we supplement our recent collection of 96 tasting notes on grower champagnes with 20 more. Seventeen of them are wines on offer from Purple Pager Tim Hall who founded the Scala School of Wine (tel 020 7281 3040 or see our directory of wine courses) in 1995 and has since then increasingly specialised in champagne. In 2013 he was made UK Champagne Ambassador by champagne’s generic body – the one we used to call the CIVC but which has rebranded itself the Comité Champagne.
