The following wines were tasted recently by the Royal Household Wine Committee, all having been submitted in accordance with the Keeper of the Privy Purse's tight budget for big receptions. You may be surprised to learn that it is not first growths all the way, but these are wines that will be served to the hundreds of people at a time thronging the red carpets and hoping to make royal eye contact. The Royal Household is mindful of avoiding accusations of extravagance.
