The Bernkasteler Ring was the first growers’ association in Germany to sell its wine through auctions. Every year in June they hold a presentation of their current vintage at Kloster Machern at Bernkastel-Wehlen. This year for the first time I missed it, not having checked the calendar of events when I booked my holiday.
