12 October 2016 A press release sent out by the BIVB Chablis yesterday confirmed that overall volumes will be down at least 50% this year. Producers who put aside reserves of the 2015 vintage under the recently introduced Volume Complémentaire Individual (VCI) system will be allowed to release some of the 2015 stock to compensate for the shortages in 2016.
