Burgundy 2015 coverage – a progress report

We now have about 2,200 tasting notes on the 2015 burgundies in our tasting notes database and you can follow the progress of how we covered this exciting vintage via this guide. British readers may like to consult our guide to which UK merchants are making offers of this vintage. (My picture shows the tasting held earlier this month in London's gloomy National Liberal Club by Flint, the importer arm of Stannary Street Wine Co. Romain Taupenot is on the left.)

Tam has now grouped the tasting notes by producer and listed them alphabetically by producer (sur)name within our 15 alphabetical tasting articles. I have added some overall comments on various producers in these tasting articles under the relevant headings, just as Julia has added the odd comment suffixed (JH).

Julia is currently making her hawk-eyed way through each tasting article, checking, editing and occasionally deleting a duplicate or triplicate if she suspects it may have been based on a dodgy sample. Once she has completed editing a tasting article, she deletes the Work in Progress (WIP) from its title.

I would also like to point out that at his burgundy tasting last week, Robert Rolls showed the recently released 2014s from Hubert Lignier and Roty. They were showing extremely well and we have added my tasting notes to our coverage of Burgundy 2014.

We hope you find this, our most detailed burgundy coverage ever, useful.
