This fascinating article by wine-loving Australian dentist Gilbert Labour, who also makes and judges wine and writes about it, first appeared in The Australian & New Zealand Wine Industry Journal. He pays tribute to his wine mentors Philip Laffer of Orlando Wyndham, Karl Stockhausen and Wolf Blass who have encouraged his researches into the effect of wine on teeth as dental erosion is apparently rampant in their wine making staff even at relatively early stages in their careers.
