Disentangling the Vistalbas

We finish our South American week with a little note on the name Vistalba in Argentine wine, which I for one find most confusing. I also point out some bargains currently available in the UK.
Vistalba is the name of an area just south of the city of Mendoza in the western part of the long-established Luján de Cuyo wine appellation. It is home to several high-profile wineries (and restaurants) and has been appropriated by at least two of them.
