Rolland to sell his Bordeaux wines direct
Jeannie Cho Lee sends the following news-packed report from Hong Kong. More and more Bordeaux producers seem to be tempted by the direct sales route, even if Gérard Perse of Ch Pavie found it a difficult one. The UK importer of Jaboulet wines was surprised last week to find that he was also expected to be selling Ch La Lagune, now owned by the same, Frey family. And even quite prominent chateau owners seem to be cosying up to specific merchants in their principal export markets.
