Napa' first and second growths?
FINE Wine Magazines, run from Finland but with editions in many important wine markets, have just released their stab at classifying Napa Valley wineries à la 1855 classification of Bordeaux. These sort of things are endlessly fascinating so I reproduce their summary below, the order of wineries being deliberate, as in 1855. Because they insist that at least 15 vintages must have been produced, many newcomers are excluded – although in the article itself, viewable here, they do suggest which may be the first and second growths of the future.
