I wondered if any of your purple pagers might be interested in a tasting The Sunday Times Wine Club is holding on 03 nov. Hugh Johnson is hosting a tasting and dinner with Gérard Perse to taste the wines of the 1998, 1999 and 2000 vintages from Chx Pavie, Pavie Decesse and Monbousquet. It will be held at the Berkeley Hotel in Knightsbridge, London SW1 starting at 7.30 with a champagne reception, then tasting, then five-course dinner with M. Perse’s wines. Cost per ticket will be £100. With Hugh as moderator it should be a fun evening and if anyone would be interested in joining us they can contact me directly at [email protected]
I can assure you that if I hadn’t promised to host a wine dinner outside London that evening, I’d go like a shot, not least because I have yet to meet M. Perse but also because these vintages of Pavie have a great reputation.
