Domaine Vincent Dampt (Chablis)

This and the Chablis bottled in May 2025 – a little later than usual to increase the volume in the mouth.
More stony than fruity, delicate but not insubstantial. Direct citrus drive on the palate and gently rounded on the finish. (JH)

A notch up in intensity from the Petit Chablis. Both stony and pure piercing citrus-grapefruit. Gently creamy on the palate balanced by deep, crisp freshness. So pure and sustained. (JH)

A touch smoky on first impression, with underlying citrus and grapefruit pith. Crushed stones. Deep, slightly chewy, almost as powerful as the Vaillons. Very long. (JH)

Fresh lime and herbs suffuse the minerally outline of the wine. There’s even a creamy sweetness to the aroma in a bone-dry wine. Both fresh and intensely moreish. Perfectly proportioned and rounded on the long finish despite the crisp acidity. (JH)

Edouard Delaunay (L’Étang-Vergy)
