I was particularly intrigued by the revealing graphic below published in last weekend's FT magazine which shows who imports most wine by value, and where it chiefly comes from. The magazine's editor Andrew Davis has kindly allowed me to republish it. Note that it supports Bisso Atanassov's long-vaunted observations on the relative importance of Russia and China as wine importers. And what on earth does Italy do with all that imported French wine, I wonder? Not to mention all the wine that France imports from Spain! -JR
