10 September 2025 Join Jancis, Alder and Sam to celebrate our 25th anniversary in San Francisco on Thursday 30 October.

Towards the end of this year, amazingly, we celebrate 25 years of JancisRobinson.com and, even more amazingly, I celebrate 50 years of writing about wine.

We’re determined to celebrate in style so will be hosting a memorable wine dinner at the popular San Francisco restaurant The Morris. In conjunction with owner/sommelier Paul Einbund and chef Gavin Schmidt we will effectively be turning The Morris into my personal dining room and wine cellar.

I have hand-picked the wines to express some particular landmarks in my long wine life and will be explaining my choices as we dine and taste, from my beautiful wine glasses

We’ll kick off with a selection of my favourite English sparkling wines for you to try – as proof of how much has changed during the 25-year life of JancisRobinson.com.

Then we’ll sit down to a truly delicious meal designed to make the most of my wine selections. With each course we’ll serve a trio of wines – one English (or Australian), one French and one from California – all of them with a special meaning for me. They include the extraordinary 2000 vintage of Château Cheval Blanc, a Bordeaux first growth as old as JancisRobinson.com, and the legendary Château d’Yquem made in the sensational 1975 vintage, just a few weeks before I wrote my first word about wine.
