Lustrous mid ruby. Perfumed and a little ethereal with stones and hints of eucalyptus on the nose. Lush, rich but not sweet and youthful with lots of raspberry and with stunning balance with intensely long, perfumed fruit filled out with sandy tannins. Wait. (WS)

Mid ruby with orange tinges. Minerally, deep strawberry nose with touches of exotic spice. Supple and juicy fruit on the palate with firm balancing tannins supporting the whole. Not ready yet. (WS)

Deep ruby with orange tinges. Deep, ripe cherry fruit with a hint of mint. Rich cherry fruit with the right dose of acidity that is fully integrated in the fruit. Rich and long and with chewy tannins that are almost entirely absorbed by the fruit. Dense and long and can be approached now. (WS)

Deep ruby. Spicy notes mingling with rich cherry and with hints of tobacco leaf and cigar box. Strikingly elegant on the palate and still a little backward. Juicy and fragrant but still needs to unfurl. Oak notes on the finish. Promising. (WS)

Maturing mid ruby with narrow bricky rim. Balsamic nose that is already showing a little development with the fruit in hiding. Soft, rich fruit and slightly drying tannins, but this certainly is long and full. (WS)

Mid ruby with orange tinges. Lifted, rich raspberry fruit nose of immense intensity and complexity. Only after lots of aeration it shows minerally earthy hints. Same intensity and purity of fruit on the palate with gorgeous, chewy tannins and perfectly integrated acidity. Very long and a little dramatic and not ready by far. (WS)

Lustrous mid ruby with orange tinges. At first a little herbal and ethereal on the nose and really embryonic. Needs to take a deep breath to show perfumed, concentrated raspberry fruit and become more and more minerally. Great concentration and depth on the palate with perfectly built, firm tannins. Suave and elegant and yet with lots of stuffing. Fantastic length. (WS)

Deep, lustrous ruby with orange tinges. A little subdued yet immediately complex. Raspberry framed in minerally notes. Savoury-sweet minerally raspberry fruit. Super-long and perfumed and supported by gorgeous chewy tannins. (WS)

Just mid ruby. Rich, savoury nose with salty, minerally hints. Suave and ripe cherry and raspberry fruit with a perfect dose of juicy acidity. Quite rich, but not sweet, on the finish with long, coating tannins. Has the stuff for ageing. (WS)

Deep youthful ruby. Rich, brooding nose with saline, minerally notes and a hint of shoe polish. Bags of chewy tannins underneath supple, elegant yet rich raspberry fruit. Rich yet composed, if still a little reduced. (WS)

Deep ruby with narrow bricky rim. Iodine notes over savoury, spicy oak and with slumbering cherry fruit underneath. Bags of ripe gravelly tannins under polished succulent Amarena-cherry fruit. Can already be approached. (WS)

Mid to deep ruby with narrow orange rim. Rich sweet raspberry jam and sour cherry on the nose. More youthful and compact on the palate, but certainly not shy and with a layer of chewy tannins. Well balanced and in need of a year more in bottle. (WS)

Just mid ruby with orange tinges. Earthy with what seems like sweet oak hints and, with aeration, finely perfumed sweet raspberry. With aeration, saline, minerally hints. Rich raspberry fruit with juicy acidity and beautifully sculpted tannins adding real bite to the finish. Closes up while the sweet raspberry lingers on. (WS)

Just mid ruby with orange tinges. Complex, balsamic, cool cherry nose with hints of iron. Elegant palate of cherry, raspberry and damson fruit with a complex but subtle oak note. A well-made crowd-pleaser of immense length. (WS)

Deep ruby with orange tinges. Subdued with only hints of perfumed cherry and blood orange. Sappy and juicy and almost a little light and Pinot Noir-like in style and gorgeous, chewy tannins. Could do with a little more stuffing but definitely not lacking in style. (WS)

Maturing mid ruby with brickstone rim. A little grubby/reduced and it looks like this is progressing fast. With aeration, the fruit struggles to come out. Rich, soft fruit lifted by acidity but lacking in vigour and complexity. (WS)

Mid to deep ruby with orange tinges. Dusty and already a little developed on the nose with cherry and rusty-nail notes and oak that turns into cut apple. Sappy cherry with a dab of oak and progressing fast. Powdery tannins on the finish. Rustic. (WS)

Maturing deep ruby with orange tinges. Curious mellow fruit with sour touches on the nose and not entirely focused. Sour cherry on the palate that seems a little one-dimensional and lacking in vigour. (WS)

Mid to deep ruby with narrow bricky rim. Already quite progressed on the nose with cherry, bell pepper and dried tobacco-leaf notes and a hint of oak. Sappy and juicy with sandy tannins that are a tiny bit dry on the finish. This is not trying very hard. (WS)

Lustrous deep ruby. A rich cherry fruit nose with hints of oak and with the first signs of premox. Much more youthful on the palate with gripping tannins and long, rich cherry fruit. I suspect the premox issue could be resolved by using less new or small oak barrels? Ready now. (WS)

Lustrous mid ruby. Minerally notes jumping out of the glass and with subdued, pure red fruit underneath. Long deep ripe raspberry fruit with stunning, perfectly built firm tannins. Fantastic balance, super-focused and long. A wine to lay down. (WS)

Deep, dark ruby with orange tinges. Lots of concentration of cherry fruit on the nose and with proper depth. Juicy cherry and bags of chewy tannins, but the fruit holds up. Not enormously complex but solid. (WS) 

Maturing deep ruby with orange tinges. Rich, ripe and opulent cherry fruit with an edge of cardamom and shoe polish. Dark fruit and lots of acidity. Lots of concentration. It is quite a bulky wine and lacking in finesse. A tiny bit hot on the finish. (WS)

Deep ruby with the beginning of orange tinges. Lifted, balsamic oak notes, cigar box, damson and raspberry. Supple, polished and juicy and hitting all the right spots. Long, fragrant cherry with long, rich, sandy tannins underneath. Closes up on the finish and definitely needs more time. (WS)

Lustrous mid to deep ruby. Gorgeous and precise. Raspberries and hints of cigar box. Very neat and juicy on the palate. Long and with finely crushed tannins. Signature Carlo Ferrini ‘smooth operator’ style with personality and class. (WS)

Lustrous mid to deep ruby. Gorgeous perfumed red fruit with saline hints rising up from the glass and with top notes of damson and raspberry. Fluid, deep raspberry fruit on the palate layered with firm, chewy tannins that, at this moment, are a tad astringent. Still embryonic and with a tightly wound structure that demands much more time. Maturing mid ruby with narrow orange rim. Minerals leaping out of the glass and with an undertow of raspberry underneath. The nose becomes more and more perfumed the longer the wine sits in the glass. Focused, perfumed raspberry fruit with succulent acidity. Still embryonic on the palate, while the whole has a certain leggerezza on the palate. Elegant and juicy with just a touch of savoury oak and gravelly tannins perfectly aligned with the fruit. (WS)

Deep ruby with orange tinges. Deep cherry nose speckled with savoury oak notes. Compact cherry and raspberry framed by subtle savoury oak notes. Polished fruit with a firm tannic grip. I would definitely give this another two years in bottle. (WS)

Lots of juicy raspberry on the palate and still youthful, compact and focused. Amazing balance. The energetic, almost electrifying acidity makes the cherry fruit even more jewel-like than it already is. Very long and linear and yet full and filled-out with sandpapery tannins. An awesome wine. Mid to deep ruby with orange tinges. Balsamic lifted and ethereal oak and raspberry nose with eucalyptus and a hint of apple. Dramatic, rich eucalyptus and raspberry palate with a wave of grainy tannins and a hint of oak. Pure baroque, like angels with golden trumpets. There is a real alignment of fruit and balsamic eucalyptus-like oak, but I also suspect that it will age fast. Could be your guilty-secret wine. (WS)

Deep, lustrous ruby. A compact, subdued nose hinting at hidden depths. A generous dose of cherry and raspberry fruit on the palate. Doesn’t lack stuffing but with fantastic balance. Long raspberry fruit with clayey tannins but closes up on the finish. (WS)

Mid to deep ruby with orange tinges. Very savoury, meaty and saline on the nose with hints of crushed stones and shell. Slow to open up but with great purity of raspberry fruit on the palate and with a layer of complementary chewy tannins. I would cellar this for a couple of years. Right now, it is still a bit of a rough diamond. (WS)
