Every September nowadays, amid much secrecy, the list of Médoc petits châteaux deemed to have made wine of cru bourgeois quality from the vintage two years before is announced. You may remember our enthusiasm for many of the crus bourgeois presented from the 2009 and 2010 vintages. This is red bordeaux at the other end of the scale from the first growths and can offer seriously good value.
