A vast and diverse inland Catalan wine region surveyed and tasted blind, with profiles of two of the most interesting producers too.
La Seu Vella is the emblem of Lleida. It is an overwhelming monument, a Romanesque cathedral with some Gothic features as well. In the past, it had been a mosque, and earlier still a Visigoth church. From there you can watch the entire old city, two hours by car from Barcelona to the west of Catalonia. I am in this emblematic place to do a blind tasting of Costers del Segre wines.
